About me
I’ve been living and breathing music since I was able to live and breathe. I started writing songs at 12 years old; I started playing bass in punk bands at 13 and took up guitar at 14; I’ve sung in choirs since I was 18; I studied jazz in college and earned a degree playing double bass; I learned piano and organ when I started playing in church at 23; and I’ve played drums on all of my own records since 2019. I started producing music in my mom’s living room using Audacity in 2008, and soon after upgraded to Cubase (but stayed in the living room for far too long). Nearly 20 years later I’m thrilled to finally have a space to which I can invite other musicians to create together.
My favorite part of songwriting is the building phase: taking the blueprint of a song and elevating it through arranging and production. Sometimes that means adding a synth here, or a guitar solo there, or doubling vocal tracks, or changing chords to reflect the mood, and sometimes it means stripping tracks away until the song can breathe and speak more clearly. My aim is to use all of the skills I’ve accumulated through the years to bring your songs to that next level, whether it needs a higher recording quality, a tighter arrangement, a more polished mix, or even all three.
